Learn and develop basic dance fundamentals with our youth dance classes presented by New River Dance Co.!

 

  • The Pre-Ballet Class teaches basic ballet skills, terminology, rhythm, and coordination are taught, practiced, and developed through creative movement, music, and mime in a supportive, supervised environment and simple choreography.

    Cost: $50/Member // $65/Non-Member

    Ages: 4 - 7

    Times: 3:50 - 4:30P

 

  • The Ballet/Jazz Class continues to build on coordination and syncopation in Jazz while building on the skills and foundations of Ballet. This combo class includes barre, center, and stretch exercises. Barre and center exercises are stressed with particular attention to proper body alignment and use of arms and head.

    Cost: $60/Member // $75/Non-Member

    Ages: 8 - 13

PolicIES

  • Tuition & Schedules:

    • Classes run from September 2023 - May 2024 with monthly registrations.

    • Tuition is based on a yearly amount, broken down into a monthly fee. As such, some months have four weeks, while others have five weeks. We do NOT prorate for shorter months, spring break, winter break, holidays, etc.

    • A non-refundable one-time registration of $20 is payable to the New River Dance instructor on the first day of class.

  • Attendance: Your child must attend dance classes every month to be able to participate in the recitals and any other performances throughout the year.

  • Emergency Closures: New River Dance Studio will cancel classes in accordance with the State of Emergency or Stafford School District decisions regarding school closures due to weather, road conditions, and other emergencies. There are no make-up classes for weather-related closures, nor are tuition refunds available for these canceled.

  • Dress Code:

    • Pre-Ballet: Pink or lilac purple leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes, and hair in a tight bun

    • Ballet/Jazz: Black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes (canvas or leather), and hair in a bun.
