      • May play with 2 if need be.

      • Teams may substitute at any dead ball during the game as long as no advantage is taken of the situation.

  • Format:

    • Every team plays every other team in their age bracket (max 10 teams)

    • 20-minute games or first to 15 points (1 point per basket)

  • Clock:

    • The gym clock will serve as the game clock for all courts. Both courts will start on the clock horn, which will start the clock.

    • In case of injury on one court, the clock will stop and play will stop on other courts until the injury is resolved. Teams will resume play at the same time.

    • The clock does not stop (except on injuries) and there are no timeouts permitted.

  • General League Info:

    • A coin flip prior to the game will determine first possession of the ball.

    • The game is a half-court game with normal boundaries plus the mid court line defining the playing area.

    • Slow play: there will be no shot-clock. However, it is a violation to ‘stall’ or attempt to ‘freeze’ the ball during play. Teams are expected to develop their own pace of play and maintain this throughout the contest.

    • Holding the ball or stalling will result in a turnover to the opposition.

    • Defense gets possession after a score

    • On a change of possession, steal, rebound, etc., the defensive team must take the ball outside the white line to establish itself as the offense.

    • On a change of possession, a shot made without the ball taken outside the 3-point arc will count for the opposing team. The team that made the shot will keep possession.

    • Defense can defend a team taking the ball outside the lines.

    • After a score, foul or out of bounds the offense will begin possession at the white line. Ball must be passed in and cannot be shot to begin possession.

    • A positive atmosphere WILL be expected and adhered to AT ALL TIMES.

  • Fouls & Free Throws:

    • There will be one official on each game. Players will not foul out.

    • Parent volunteers will be asked to keep the score.

    • On all shooting fouls when the shot is made, shooting team will get the made basket. Possession will go to the same team

    • On all non-shooting fouls or shooting fouls when the shot is NOT made, the team on offense will keep possession.

    • No points will be awarded for offensive fouls (i.e. player control, etc.)

    • The official may disqualify a player guilty of excessive, flagrant or intentional fouling.

    • Any player receiving two technical fouls will be ejected from the game and gym. One point will be awarded to the opposing team after a technical foul.

    • There are no free throws. The offending team gets possession of the ball at the white line.

    • ALL baskets count as one point.

  • Overtime:

    • If the score is tied at the end of the game, 1-minute overtime will be added.

    • If the two teams are tied for 1st or 2nd at the end of the tournament a tie breaker playoff game shall be played. 10-minute game or first to 7 points.
